ContactHubThis policy describes how ContactHub (“the App”) handles information. ContactHub is a local-first relationship app for iOS and Android.

1. Summary
- Contact lists, notes, reminders, and vault flags are stored on your device.
- We do not sell your contacts or run ad tracking on your address book.
- Optional store purchases (subscriptions / unlocks) are processed by Apple or Google.
- Camera is used on-device for OCR and QR scanning; ContactHub does not upload those images to our servers, We dont even have any for this project.
2. Data we store on device

Storage technologies: OS app sandbox SQLite, secure key-value storage (Keychain / Keystore), local notification schedules.
Note: The main database file is not full-disk encrypted with SQLCipher. Protection relies on the device lock screen and OS app sandbox. Passphrase-protected backups use AES-256-GCM.
3. Permissions
Depending on platform and features you use, ContactHub may request:
- Contacts — import and optional write-back for Caller ID
- Camera / photos — business card OCR, QR scan, ticket scan
- Biometrics / Face ID — unlock private vault
- Notifications — catch-up and task reminders
- Phone / call log (Android) — recents and relationship signals
- SMS (Android) — compose may open the system SMS app; deep inbox features depend on platform policy and build configuration
4. Data we do not collect by default
ContactHub does not require an account. We do not operate a ContactHub cloud that silently syncs your address book. Peer sync and multi-device transfer only happen when you export, import, or share packages.
5. Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play. Their privacy policies apply to payment data. ContactHub stores only entitlement state needed to unlock features on the device.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared only if required by law, or with services you choose when sharing files (AirDrop, email, Drive, etc.).
7. Children
ContactHub is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction).
8. Your choices
- Delete contacts or uninstall the app to remove local data.
- Export/transfer packages (.chbook) and encrypted backups (.chbak) under your control.
- Cancel subscriptions in Apple / Google account settings.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be noted in the App or store listing where practical.
